My question is if we have irrevocable proof that an affiliate program is stealing our players how do we get justice served? Since they seem to be pretty much untouchable.
Reiterating, there are people with too many fingers in too many pies. Wolves in sheep clothing comes to mind. As I’ve said many times before over the years, I’m all for capitalism, I too like money and what it can provide. However, greed being one of the 7 deadly sins, can turn some people into self serving monsters who become both ethically and morally bankrupt.
Arkyt shoots from the hip and sums up the BIG problem in our affiliate industry with this:

The CAPS, GPWAs etc feature slum groups on their sites – they don’t care about much other than the money that’s going into their pockets. So what some groups screw over some affiliates – as long as they pay their listing fee they can proudly wave their banner like they are one of the best around.
APCW Catch Cry
Fighting for trust, honesty and integrity in the online gaming industry!
Yet, Rewards Affiliates still hold Silver Sponsorship, and are featured on perspectives weekly and given credence their a great program. What a total sham.
GPWA (Gambling Portal Webmasters Association)
Corfman claimed (words to this affected), the TLD was changed to the .org because it represented its identity better. Well, it should be a .com (commercial), it certainly isn’t an organization who places it’s members before making a buck, that’s for sure.
http://www.gpwa.org/forum/questions-about-affiliate4you-org-raised-response-welcome-announcement-199012.html#post653360Due Diligence, this GPWA moob wouldn’t know what it was even if it slapped them in the face. What a total screw up this was.
AGD Catch Cry
Protecting Affiliates Interests.
While Andy added a cross promoting button to warn affiliates, the program remains. A straight link (leader board) banner sits at the top of this programs forum. Not withstanding, clear bias is held for RA/CR by factions of the auditing team & mods and admins too.
Affiliate Forum Alliance
affiliateforumalliance.com/Members/ and who do you suppose heads up this joint. When one starts to see the dots and joins them together, it paints and interesting picture, indeed.
GAU – Gambling Affiliate Union (formally AU)
I was approached by Anthony (APCW) to head up the AU which I accepted. However Corfman wanted a founding seat on the board (cough another finger in the pie), I refused his request.
Some 24 hours later, all hell broke lose at the GPWA when an AU founding member ( who Anthony suggested should sit on the board) was implicated in promoting a rogue casinos. Was that an Ace up their sleeve just in case I didn’t let Corfman in the door?

Anyway, I closed the AU before it even opened. And from the ashes the GAU was born. Headed by Mojo and Chalkie who incidentally were former AU members and who voted to not give Corfman a seat. Yet freely invited him to join them at the GAU.
Both people resigned, then PokerKeep took over. He lasted about 14 months. In Feb 2011 he also left. To this day he’s never been heard from since. So the only person left at the GAU, Corfman – stranger than fiction huh!
That pretty much explains why these programs can continue to operate because they are give carte blanche powers to effectively bend affiliates over. Until gaming affiliates see the real truth behind many of the affiliate forums and associations, then nothing is going to change for the better and we’ll continue to be used and abused.
Cheers
