Talking to guys who have purchased numerous .in domains, they made me aware to the fact that .in is under control of the Indian government.
There is the possibility that if they don’t like your content, they could shut it down. Hasn’t happened yet – but if you know the politics…
Also there are numerous registrars out there where it is possible to purchase a .in for around $5 – but they recommended going with godaddy.com – because you know they will still be up in 5 years!
