i’m not happy about what’s happened with BCP either.nobody likes to see their revenue stream cut off virtually without warning. however, before becoming an affiliate myself i spent a couple of years working as an affiliate manager and that has given me a different perspective than what i’m reading here.
if you guys are dead set on roguing BCP, ok. but they’re closed and the casinos are no longer taking US customers (i confirmed it with their customer service people myself) so what’s the point? i sent them a good amount of traffic over the past couple of years but at least when they shut the door they sent my traffic back to me rather than stealing it like some other programs. and, when i contact them about my payment they always get back to me right away and tell me they’re doing everything they can to get me my earnings. is that just a load of you know what? maybe, but i have to wonder why they’d bother talking to me at all if their ultimate goal was to rip me off.
now i was never told to keep my mouth shut if i wanted to get paid or anything close to that. but if you were, is it possible that maybe your affiliate manager was just trying to give you some good advice? after all, even if BCP has the best intentions, why would they pay somebody who won’t be happy no matter what they do?
i mean really, if you think that an affiliate program should pay you on what you feel you might have earned in the coming years, after they already shut down, then i don’t know what to say to that other than i certainly don’t know of any program on the planet that could afford do so. so in that case, it’s just a matter of time before they’re all rogues by your definition. you might find one that will tell you they will pay you forever no matter what. heck, they’ll probably even put it in writing. but i bet you it wouldn’t be worth the paper it was written on.
i could go on but i get that you’re frustrated and angry. and if you form a club for that then send me an invite and i’ll be sure to join . but in the meantime i just wanted to offer you the point of view of someone who’s worked on both sides.
