Land based promotions to be effective are costly…a poster and coaster in a bar are not worth the effort. When I was with Nine and we were Branding the NINE.COM brand it was ludicrous the amount of money spent…billboards, models, swag, BJ tourneys, bobble head dolls, concert venues, magazines, etc.
It worked I can tell you that much but we went BIG! I see Full Tilt everywhere they go HUGE I can’t open a poker magazine or watch a poker tournament on TV without seeing Full Tilt.
It’s in your face marketing and when is no longer in your face it is forgotten.
