Man this is such a wide open answer, probly not what you wanted to hear. If you’ve got a good site going and you can write at least ok content then you have a chance. Getting to $500 per month though could take anywhere between 6 months and a year in my opinion.
Posting a few more details of your site etc might help us see what’s going on and if you are on the right track.
