Rakeback is destined to implode. Poker Rooms increasingly don’t want to have to deal with the problems associated with it, so the trend seems to be to pass on the liability and the overhead to the affiliate. Sure, it’s been disastrous for the industry as a whole, but the trend associated with increased RB Rev %’s, will eventually push some rooms to the brink of extinction, as they will not be able to compete with the large rooms. Rising RB %’s will lead to pushing many/most affiliates out of the industry. I agree with an earlier poster – times have changed, and CPA will once become king (and probably the only real way to make money, unless you are a super-large affiliate, who’s tremendous volume overshadows dimiished Rev %).
