If they’re not making timely payments, I don’t see how they can be considered a good book.
Well there is a difference between timely, on time, and eventually I guess. Paddy Power are paying their affiliates – and in the past it’s usually been within a calander month.
Here is their delay (in days) prior to the changeover of affiliate systems :
17, 29, 26, 18, 17, 20, 21, 23, 13, 17, 28, 23, 19, 34, 21
As you can see pretty consistant – an average of 21 days – and a maximum of 34 days. But even so there is still plenty of variation month on month – and little notification of reasons for delays when they occur. It just feels like it’s not that important.
Since the new system was installed they not improved – indeed the first payment was well overdue :
44, 25, 18 (and counting).
As I said – it seems that a combination of new system teething troubles and affiliate management manpower have caused regular delays.
OVERALL :
If you dismiss PaddyPower simply based on these payment delays then you’ll probably be doing yourself and your readers a dis-service … they are a quality organisation for customer and very trustworthy … with some good points of difference to promote.
However, it would have been remiss of me not to mention the recent downturn in affilaite service. Experienced affiliates will be able to handle it – but I’d imagine newbie affiliates would struggle.
So I did not want to put you off – just make you aware.
