I agree with you. Fees were way out of line.
I just volunteer here as mod, so I have nothing to do with admin.
And you are right, there was a scandal that set all this in motion, but I’d rather not open that can of worms again.
At this time CAP rules and procedures are totally transparent, fees are publicly posted and CAP is off to a new start.
It still has a lot of supporters and sponsors, and I don’t think it will be long before everyone comes back in the fold.
Meanwhile, all the programs have access, whether they have a paid listing or not. I think that is an improvement, affiliates have a better chance of settling issues with any program.
Also, certification has been dropped. We just have paid listings, and the search function here serves to make up one’s mind if the program is good for affiliates. Also, AGD certifies the affiliate T&Cs, so this would just be a duplicate if CAP did it.
