I only just found out about this ‘Mind The GAP’ conference and to be honest I’m not so sure its a great idea either.

I believe the only way it would be close to working would be to hold it at a time later in the year, however as has been said previously…TOO MANY CONFERENCES.
It’s not just the cost, it’s also the time out from families. I have a 2 year old, one on the way and my wife works. I had to miss out on Amsterdam (AAC) due to my wife working and no baby cover. And I am sure my wife would not be too chuffed with me spending 10 days in that London to attend conference after conference.

Someone somewhere needs to sit down and think about this and do it properly. 3 conferences a year, January, May and September I think can be justified but AAC (Alex’s Affiliate Conferences), CAC, ICE, GAP, Affilicon, Spring Break there are also UK focussed ones from A4U. Soon there will be jobs created for people to hit a constant stream of conferences, they will have no life outside of work and will only travel, meet people and get drunk (don’t tell the boss).

I know they are very profitable, how else could Alex afford all that hairspray, and I am all for choice, but come on if we dilute it will devalue the visit of each conference.
