I think until it is mutually agreed on which conferences affiliates will attend though, there will be conferences popping up everywhere because it’s hard to know which conference a company will get a positive ROI out of so I guess people think they need to go to all of them in order to meet everyone..
The problem with that is that if one conference is mutually decided on, the other conference organisers miss out..
Perhaps something better than the current situation would be 2 conferences per year, but instead of being 3 or 4 days long, they should be a week long.. That way you have ample time to meet everyone you need to.
Just my 2 cents. This is starting to get ridiculous.. The more conferences that popup, the more you will get groups (like ours and a few others) who decide to go to neither. Then the affiliates end up missing out in the end.
