I run the affiliate program at FOREXYARD, where we offer CPA, Revshare and Hybrid commission deals. Forex revshare is indeed similar to a poker rake: regardless of whether your “players” profit or lose their investment, you will still generate the same commission, based on the volume of trades executed by your referred players.
In terms of choosing a commission plan, revshare is the best long term option in my opinion – our highest earning affiliates/introducing brokers are all on revshare. Granted they either bring large depositing clients or high volumes of targeted traffic, but so long as you can consistently convert, then you have a good chance to generate decent monthly earnings.
Aside from currencies, we also offer the ability to trade commodities, such as Crude Oil, Gold and Silver. This is a niche area of the trading market and can be very profitable for revshare earners, as the minimum trade sizes involved are larger. A few affiliate sites promoting commodity trading have appeared in the last few months, but for the most part this niche is untapped!!
