Yea that was the question, but the main idea to get Euro as the base currency was to avoid the drop in value of USD, if all the players play in USD and all revenue is calculated in USD and then converted to Euros it doesnt really matter, since they will still loose on the decreasing value of the USD vs other currencies.
If they just want Euros but dont care about the dropping value they might just as well open up a Euro bank account and get all their payments there, then if someone pays in USD or any other currencies it would still be converted to Euros by the bank.
