I have to admit to being a bit confused by the reactions to the Grand Prive announcement. They decide to shut all US player accounts because it’s difficult to pay them. I mean, it’s not ideal obviously, but it’s their decision and is bound to impact them financially so must have been carefully thought through. I don’t see it as them shafting affiliates: they just made a business decision that’s all. No contracts broken as far as I can see.
And at least they’ve been up-front enough to give everyone a month’s notice rather than the usual couple of days. They could have kept stumm and avoided the flak, especially as others may be in the same position soon.
