You aren’t alone, Renee! I do this sometimes, too.
This week, I’ve been smiling and laughing at odd times, over one of the goofiest things…
The other day, my fiancee brought a carnation home from work (there was a cancer-fighting fundraiser going on, so she bought one). I put the flower into this glass that the guys at Referback gave me at the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona (thanks again Referback). We set the flower on the counter in the kitchen and went to bed.
The next morning, as I’m laying there still sleeping, my fiancee gets up and goes into the kitchen and screams, “THE FLOWER!!”
I jump up and run to the kitchen, and I see that the flower is in pieces all over the counter, and the stem is still sticking out of the glass. One of the cats had bitten the flower off while we slept, and then he/she tore the flower apart.
I looked at the stem again, all alone in the glass, with the end kind of chewed and shredded, and I started cracking up. For some reason, the image of the lone stem in the glass, flower missing, is hilarious to me. That, and my fiancee screaming “THE FLOWER!” as if the flower was on fire or something… :rollover:
I know, I’m insane. :roflmao:
The next day, she bought 3 more flowers, and we put them in a place that is much harder for the cats to reach. So far, so good….
