If no more CAP-BCN it’s not the end of the world. I love the city but it is a little dis-heartening to hear people getting robbed/mugged and anything else. I forget to add in my article to watch out for the hookers on Ramblas, they are notorious for reaching in pockets digging for money and wallets.
Budapest is a beautiful city and I think it might be a good idea considering eastern europe probably hasn’t been targeted as much and as they slowly join the EU currency their buying power will change. I didn’t spend much time there but I’d say the average tourist would be safer in Budapest than in Barcelona.
