You think they can pull the US economy out of a pending depressing when they are happy to stay in Iraq for 5 or 10 more years? Why are they not being held accountable for spending 10 billion US dollars a month that could be used to help our economy?
Very well put, Gamtrak.
This country is headed towards ruining itself. We can all hold political opinions of any kind we like, but it all comes down to one thing:
SOMEONE HAS TO PAY THE PIPER.
Financial management has been as irresponsible as it can get. If the politicians were treated as ordinary citizens, they would all be in jail for fraud.
I feel very sorry for the twenty and thirty something olds in the US, they are the ones who will have to finally pay the piper.
The Outstanding Public Debt as of 04 Sep 2008 at 06:38:25 PM GMT is:
The estimated population of the United States is 304,667,293
so each citizen’s share of this debt is $31,744.18.
The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$1.94 billion per day since September 28, 2007!
With government being so totally irresponsible, I am not at all surprised that citizens think they can spend more than they have whenever they please. Too bad that citizens lose their ass while government gets away with it until the country collapses. All they have to worry about is 4 years and they are set for life.
