There are only two ways to pass data from one site to another or from one page on the same site to another page on the same site. Either through the address bar or by writing a cookie.
When a player clicks on your banner the affid is sent to the backend where it is mapped to your affiliate account. The backend either reads it from the address bar string or the cookie. It seems that programs do both, pass the aff id via the address bar and write it in a cookie.
The vehicle used to install the casino, whether it’s a CD, type in traffic, email promo or direct dl doesn’t matter.
The process is simple, check for a cookie, yes it exists, map it to the affiliate account, no it does not exist, credit the casino.
Granted some people flush cookies but you know, can’t have everything.
