Technology needs to catch up. When we have free wifi everywhere (trains, hotels etc) and when mobile providers make their data tarifs less of a legal extortion racket, then the market’s ready for mobile gaming. Until then, it’s a niche market. But you have to be in early to win in any new area. Speculate to accumulate. Or just ignore it.

I think there are two keys to mobile casino & poker : travel and boredom. Combine the two, give ’em free wifi, and you have an audience :) 3 years? Maybe a bit more…

PS. I downloaded Laddies, Aces Royal and WJ, signed up and took them “out and about” on a road-test for a few months. Bottom line – good software, poor connectivity available, a bit fiddly – unless you are away for a while it’s easier to wait ’til you get home. Within a couple of months I wasn’t playing them. Also, after 4 months I changed phone and it wasn’t (yet) compatible anyway.
