Downunder, no. But you gotta rememeber that most of the tv shows played here are American.. so we’re used to the accent.

When I was in Vegas in 2006, I was in a club and asked the bartender for a water, and she had no idea what I was asking for. Asked for it a couple of times and still nothing, so I said it with an american accent and she felt really stupid for not understanding me.. LOL

I think its harder for you guys to understand our accent because you don’t hear it as often as we hear yours…

I dont have any trouble understanding European accents for the most part either, but I think that’s because i have grandparents who are european, so I’m used to that.. but I know some other Aussies who have a real hard time understanding the european accents…
