I used a PC for several years and had a number of virus and software problems. I bought a Mac about 2 years ago and haven’t had any issues during that time period. (knock on wood).
The learning curve for getting used to a Mac after using a PC is virtually nothing. The way these things are set up, it’s a piece of cake.
I’ve converted to Mac for life, or until PC becomes the new Mac.
