Personally I think people spend far too much time on analyzing this question. They also spend an inordinate amount of effort examing racial and financial differences between people.
If we could just get to the point of saying:
PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE regardless of race, religion, financial status or sexual preference.
EVERYONE deserves the right to live the way that they want as long as it doesnt impinge upon the rights of others.
While the bible does NOT condone many activities it also said:
Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matthew 7.1
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Luke 6.37
Before the right wing extremists set about imposing their will on everyone our country was based on individual rights and freedoms. Americans valued this before all else. I pray for the day when we go back to those ideals.
