My decision to leave my day job was sort of easy in as I had worked as a contractor/consultant in the IT field for about five years prior, meaning I would pick the assignments/programming projects that I wanted and take time off when I wanted.

In 2001 I found online gambling and then created my software, portal and forum about six months later. After about a year and a half, once I had saved 3 months living expenses I quit cororate america and leaped out on faith each month praying to make enough to survive. hehe

I made a few rules for myself like waking up at the same time I did when going out to work just in case I’d have to go back it would not be such a drastic change for me. I also worked 8 to 12 hours a day.

I still wake up and start work before 8am and I also work a minimum of eight hours a day six days a week and I love it.

I forgot to add that I also took a year off to get married and travel and made the same income as before.
