I have recently been talking to a friend of ours about this same thing. She came up with this company:
After some research, and talking with some knowledgeable folks, I’ve
decided to get the Shield Spectrum Savings 4000 Single health plan.
$48 a month $4000 deductible a year (seems reasonable enough), after
that expenses covered 100% up to $6,000,000. Seems like a good plan
being that I don’t go to the dr that often and just want to be covered
in case something big were to happen.
Or is everyone looking for cheap doctor visits? I for one do not like going to the doctor unless absolutely necessary…. after all most people die in the hospital. A few years ago (dont know right now) the average life span of a cardiologist was 54 and the majority die of heart failure, etc…. (yes, that’s right, I don’t trust the folks)
But if I get hit by lightning or a car or something, I’d like to have coverage.
If we can get group rates I’m interested. I am not so interested in groups like Humana, and Kaiser however, which have extremely bad reputations in my mind *
