My “contact us” email addresses receive a LOT of spam. I do break up the parts of the email addresses so that it’s difficult for bots to interpret — i.e. I use “at” instead of @ — but that doesn’t seem to deter the pen!s enlargement and cas’in0 spammers. These guys find the address and manually put it into their spam machine.

I used to have a form on two sites; those were spammed to death so I took them down.

Do you not want to offer support to your players.

In the 3 years I’ve been doing this, I have had exactly one player contact me. And that was 2 years ago. I’ve had thousands of other webmasters email me, though. Sometimes I will respond, if I recognize them from CAP or GPWA.

These days, I ignore most link exchange / link buy requests — including one I got from you earlier today. We tried doing an exchange before, and it didn’t work out. And now it looks like none of your links are working on your “affiliates” page. MySQL error. Can’t conntect to the database. It’s been that way for a few weeks now. Do your link partners know about this?

My suggestion would be to learn how to handle all of this stuff yourself; don’t depend on someone else to do this for you. (Whoever is doing it now is doing a piss poor job). Learn PHP and MySQL, and in 6 months you’ll be much better off. Another tip would be to try to stay focused on one or two things instead of investigating a hundred different things, and then not acting on any of them.

Anyway — I probably should go ahead and delete most of my contact pages; it would save time and bandwidth. If someone who knows me wants to get in touch with me, they know how to find me. :wavey:
