True. But where you host the domain is an important factor. If you have .co.uk, host it in the UK.
Incidentally, Google Webmaster Tools now hs a facility to tell Google your target audience for each domain. Not tried it – no idea of the impact, but an interesting and IMO positive development as until now Google has chosen for you.
