well I am sorry to hear that u had then password thieves.
I started a thread about this very subject a few months ago and I must say that given the number of webmasters in this forum I was very disappointed with the feedback. Only one forum member was kind enough to give me any feedback.
No. I think you will find that you cannot change your password mid registration.
Anyway, I set up a few freerolls, and (well I wont say here how ) but i managed to catch the thieves. They are moronic to say the least. I caught them very easily. I named them. I shamed them. I gave them hell. I blocked them from getting hold of future passwords. They denied it of course, but I have the evidence. I have gathered there player names on many poker sites, their IP addresses, their eMail addresses, their real names and in some cases their home addresses. It wasnt too difficult once I had set my mind to it
Unfortunately, if you now have them in your forum, you are STUCK with them until you identify and block them. Basically, there is a group of 5 European Forums Owners, who not only post YOUR password in their forums alomgside their own banners for the particular poker site, they actively encourage and reward members who find and post your password.
There are a large number of poker sites that do NOT care less that this is happening. They turn a blind eye to it and have responded in an extremely patronising manner when facts have been related to them.
I log into these 5 renegade Forums daily ( anon of course ) and see that they continually post other affiliates passwords. They dont give a damn.
I am in the process of setting up a BLACKLIST website, which will name those culprits – with all the information that I have on them AND will name the poker sites ( ones no doubt that YOU promote ) that dont care a fiddlers aspidestra that.
For anyone who is seriously interested in the blacklist, then a PM will secure a link to it when I am ready to release it. Contributions amd members to iit will be heartily welcomed
