Look guys, let’s forget the history for a moment and address a valid question here.
This is the new program forum. If Sam has a program he wants you to know about, this is the place for him to post or I would have tossed him out.
New programs need a way to tell people they exist, and since they can’t spam us in any way, there are three legitimate ways to do it that I can see:
1. Post in the appropriate forums on the appropriate messageboards (this being an affiliate message board and thus appropriate)
2. Visit websites and contact the owners of sites that look good to the program. This has been the basis of many a deal I have made over the years.
3. Go to conventions
It is in our own interest that new programs are presented to us, so we can make informed decisions. That is why we have this forum. While only certified member programs are encouraged to post in the general areas, this forum provides a platform for new ones to introduce themselves. We can look them over and ask questions while they get their feet wet and prepare to apply for certification.
Casinomeister is a player board and Sam’s posting there is considered casino shilling. Introducing a new aff program on an affiliate board is legitimate though.
And Sam asks a legitimate question: What really IS a legitimate way to meet affiliates? If I were to introduce a new affiliate program, how would I go about it?
We were all newbies at one time and didn’t know “netiquette”. Ann Landers never covered this.
That said, I haven’t looked at the program yet and have no idea if it’s any good or not.
