Hi all,
I think there’s one aspect missed that I see as a problem with many poker rooms.
they don’t have enough players. And that means when you get new ones in … if they don’t find a game at stakes to their liking .. they’re going somewhere else.
so while I’d yes, devote most the money to what has already been said, …. it also might be a good idea to pay a some people to sit at the tables playing until at least you’ve gained enough a player base to support the room on its own merits.
I know I won’t stay at a poker room that has only small stakes players because these players are liable to do anything. I prefer experienced players who won’t call an all in holding K,10 …. for example and that’s exactly what you’re likely to run into if you play small stakes. And though that’s a crappy call…. those kind of hands win more often than I care to see.
thus I might add, … you’ll want to hire players that have some understanding of the game and not somebody wild with your money because they not only will lose more often than not ….. but they’ll also chase away the kind of players you’d want ….. the times they do win.
