Carlo,

I realize what covers is. But the ad isn’t on cover’s site, it’s on the website of a US newspaper…

Granted the portion of the website is devoted to covers… But the page is still on USA Today’s server.

Given the developments in the industry i’m surprised to see an ad for a sportsbook located on the website of a large US newspaper.

It’s a subdomain that USA Today have set up. Covers have most likely given USA Today an IP address to point to and USA Today then link to it.

Pinging covers.usatoday.com = 208.68.72.128

The whois for that is = http://whois.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=208.68.72.128
(http://sportsdirectinc.com/SPORTS-CONTENT/publishing.html)

So you can see that it is NOT USA Today.

usatoday.com = http://whois.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois.ch?ip=usatoday.com

I don’t know if that shows what’s going on… I still can’t see sportsbetting ads on there though.
