Most places in Canada have a smoking ban. All that means is that everyone still goes out. The difference is that every 15 minutes or so the entire population goes to smoke outside even when it’s -40 out. It’s funny watching them freeze.
Whenever I go to places like Vegas I realize how grateful I am to live with somewhere with a smoking ban in place. I hate the fact that in Vegas I go out for 10 minutes, I cant breath, and I stink like smoke for the day. As a nonsmoker I can really feel the crap enter penetrate my lungs and the various toxins give me a headache. I have nothing against people smoking I just don’t think that I should be forced to sit there and absorb cyanide.
The ban will make a difference for a couple of months but then things will be back to normal.
