I often question myself as to why I still use NETeller considering what has been happening, but quite simply it’s still the easiest, fastest and most trustworthy option if you are able to use it. If there was an alternative, I’d be all over it like a fat kid on cake. Moneybookers and Click2Pay have both been a nightmare whenever I’ve tried to use them, and like someone mentioned – they’re not offered everywhere.
If NETeller was truly in trouble, then I think Party Gaming, Ladbrokes and other big companies with all the insider info & intelligence money can buy would have dropped them by now. I really feel for the people stung by the US NETeller debacle, but it’s the US government’s fault, nobody elses…
Back to topic – it sounds like the problem was with the 3rd party debit card provider. (A credit union noted on the actual debit cards)
I think they will just source another third party to run the debit cards. Considering some of the operations I’ve come across that have access to the cirrus/maestro network I don’t think they’ll have too much trouble finding an alternative. Hopefully it won’t take too long.
