playing poker and doing affiliate work used to take a toll on me, then I figured something out. Its not about sleeping, its about waking up. So if I go to sleep at 2am I still wake up at 9 (usually works out to be 8:30 AM). That way I can get to sleep around midnight (sometimes as late as 1am).
If I were not to set my alarm clock like I used to do. The next night I would get to bed at 4am, then 5am then I would be going to bed at noon.
The key for me is waking up and having so days where I need to gut it out if I am up late. But what I find is that on those days I get to bed at a better time.
