I agree. These are amazing and incredibly communicative creatures.
Since they are animals, reactions to unknown intruders into their territory may be anything from cautious to agressive depending on how they interpret your behavior, I’ll grant you that. Good on them for it, or they would be extinct today.
When approached in a consistently considerate, non threatening manner they are very receptive to humans and show a high degree of intelligence.
