Ok guys lets let the dolphins rest. The mammals are marvelous animals and we will actually have a chance to swim and interact with them at Atlantis. I have swam with dolphins in the keys and its a great experience for adults and kids.
I dove for most of my adult life in Florida and the Caribbean and have seen dolphins in the wild go by and they paid no attention to me whatsoever. Normally they present no danger to humans, and unless you were harassing them or threatening their babies I cant imagine you having a problem with one.
The US Navy does work with Doplhins (the mammals) and they are extremely intelligent creatures. And yes their Sonar is superior at short ranges to what our military deploys.
Regarding the fish referred to as dolphins they are marvelous too. Especially on the end of a fishing line or in a dinner plate.
There are a third type of Dolphins who play professional football in Miami and over the past several years they have been harmless too.
Nuff said about Dolphins
