I also saw the letter they sent out to my friend stating this fact AFTER they were notified that the person is permanently disabled and can never work to pay off the debt.
This really sucked because I wanted this friend to be able to visit me and my husband while we were in the Domincan Republic last year.
So as of last week my friend can NEVER leave the USA as long as they owe Uncle Sam!
