Gawd I cannot believe I am letting myself get drawn in to such a futile debate while Rome is burning, but I don’t understand how otherwise educated people can believe the utterly silly things I’m reading here.

If a license is required to operate a poker room and this idiot decided to thumb his nose at that requirement he deserves to burn along with Rome!

The debate as to whether poker is chance or skill game has no place in the debate of failing to meet business requirements in the UK. If they told me I could operate a casino affiliate site with a license, I’d be the first in line.

As for this setting a precedent that could carry over into our sector, jeewiz I think Uncle Sam is on top of that one already.

IMO poker is clearly based in chance. Sure if you are skilled in the game you can put the odds of chance into your favor, but even then it still relies on chance. If it didn’t youd have the same guys sitting at the final table each and every game.
