The KEY is diversification, no doubt. October 13th (actually well before) was a wakeup call to all !
I don’t think Online gambling is dead – I think it’s going through a metamorphosis, and those that adapt to the changing landscape will reap the benefits; those that don’t will become dinosaurs and will wither away.
Remember, Merryl Lynch came out with a recent statement that online gambling will become a 1/2 trillion dollar industry by 2012. That is something to be aware of.
I will predict that the UIGEA will NEVER get enforced by the US government, largely due to the imposition (for no gain) on the banking sector, and the new Congress not supporting it. Also, the upcoming WTO rulings will turn out to be really big stuff in 2007.
The big question becomes how long will it be before the brick and mortar casinos get online, and how it will effect us as affiliates. To me, having Las Vegas come online, will result in the death of the gambling affiliate.
Good luck to all. For what it’s worth, my income is down about 45 % since the law was passed.
