I would think the same thing, that so long as the person entering there email has it made very clear to them what they are asking for it would not be a spam issue. I also appriciate that I’m new to this and I’m certainly open to learning what I may be not considering here.
At some point ultimately it seems that to promote our businesses we must harvest email with the intention of utilizing these in one way or another to facilitate existing business & to create new business. Hopefully this will be for an offer of something interesting or of benifit somehow to those that sign up. I hate as much as the next guy the bobardment of emails from a million sources that I have no idea where they get my email. I also think that no matter how clear you are about what people are signing up for there will always be folks that get upset that it’s spam because of any number of reasons. Still if you make it clear they are registering for a specific “what-ever-it-might-be”. Then until they say stop then they are a fair prospect.
Open to all thoughts, I am new, & maybe I’ve missed enough dialogs from the past to not know what to read betweeb the lines here, but it also seems that done appropriately and with recipricol fairness this may not be a bad thing….
