Hi all,
Good or bad? Not sure. It’ll bring ’em back
I said this years ago to Mark at Windows casino and still stand by it today.
If I owned a casino and could cheat in any way possible … it would be to cheat IN favor of the players … letting them win nicely their first or second time out.
I feel extremely confident that the money paid out on those first or second outings would be paid back well over tenfold by about 85% of the people .. if not a higher % than that.
Think about it. You always remember the nice wins … especially at a casino where you haven’t had the crap knocked out of you a bunch of times …. leaving you feeling like you were just catching up if/when you did hit a nice win.
That keeps people coming back again and again. And I’d guess that very few of them … myself included (even though I DO try to keep a loose running count in my head) will have kept score to the point of noticing when they passed the break even point and it will be long after they’ve played and paid a considerable amount more than what was originally won before they finally start thinking to themselves that feeling we all have known at one time or another which is “I’m getting sick and tired of this casino taking my money like it was falling out of my pocket in bundles!”.
Any of the gamblers here will … I think agree with that sentiment.
so ya, I think its definitely a good thing in the long run.
the only way I’d think it wasn’t a good thing would be if it is discovered there’s a flaw in the programming and that the casinos are handing out the money in such fashion … and this fact becomes publicly known. In that case many of the players will wisely pull back on the reigns knowing that the casino hasn’t been offering fair-odds games but rather odds in their favor.
They’ve got to believe their wins came while playing at odds which will still be the same the next time they log in. …. IMHO.
