If there is someone who is outside the US has been on this board for a few years and has built up the trust of the community on here then I don’t think it would be unwise for that person to become a central protector of affiliate sites.

I think this plan would work best if one person, or a few people working as partners, were to take care of affiliates’ sites together – kind of like a holding company. This central party could offer a single communication channel to all their affiliates thus making the process much more efficient. Affiliates who were looking to have this done wouldn’t have to worry about finding someone reputable or getting ripped off. And any issues could be addressed through a central communication channel like CAP.

In exchange for this, the holding company could charge 1-2% of profits annually. Someone mentioned 10% but I don’t think affiliates are willing to give back that much just to a passive holdeer – especially since profits will be going down substantially already. I think a central holding company could gather enough sites – good sites – that they would be protecting about $5 million in affiliate earnings annually. A 1-2% cut would be US$50,000-$100,000profit annually for the holding company while not being a substantial cost to the affiliate.
