That’s ecxactly right. Online gambling is illegal in 9 states only, it’s the financial processing from online gambling activity that has been legislated on allowing the states where it is illegal to prosecute it at federal level. So they are trying to make the banks make things difficult for the online casinos etc. All they have to do is ensure they have systems in place to not take bets from players in those 9 states over the next 9 months. Doesn’t mean gambling elsewhere in the US is illegal.
I think everyone is panicking right now. It is especially important to see the woods from the trees right now.
