hdaddy – sorry to hear about your problem, and props for the heads-up here at CAP, though things like this no longer surprise me.
What this confirms is that it pays to know your casinos before you promote them. For me, a casino with a good player reputation over a good period of time is the key to succesful affiliation. Far more important than short-term “affiliate incentives”. Although in Shark’s case you could be forgiven as their player history isn’t too shabby at all.
I don’t mean to sound harsh or condescending here….but Cirrus/Coolcat/Clubplayer? Promote those and you get what you ask for IMO – the player history reads like a book. I’d urge any affiliate reading this to ignore the lure of the quick buck and research player experiences first like Howard clearly has above. If you still think they’re good, then fine, go for it. You won’t regret it.
Seriously I shudder when I see some of the properties affiliates, particularly the new ones, promote at CAP. There needs to be some sort of education program somewhere – players look to affiliates for guidance so affiliates should be willing and able to provide it :lookaroun Get the good, honest and reputable casinos on first, then start worrying about negative rollover, commission rates and affiliate bonuses.
Cheers
