I’ve seen this 2/3rds majority requirement in the Senate mentioned in a couple of posts now. Is that for real? I thought normal votes in the Senate are decided by a simple majority, and 2/3rds majority votes are only for constitutional amendments or presidential veto overrides. Can someone who knows explain this?
