I have been reading this thread and I am confused.

My site Free Football Picks just had its one year mark and we have had a total of 5 signups and 1 depositer (which admittedly has earned me a few hundred buck, but also happens to be one of my writers.)

We have great “original” content during the season.

We have had over 43,000 visitors

We have a PR of 4

and we rank fairly high for search on Free Football Picks

-Google is page 3
-Yahoo is Page 2
-MSN is page 1

(this is recently)

What am I doing wrong?

Are they 43k actual real visitors or a combination of spiders and real people? also you rank high for Free Football Picks, people would be more or less looking for exacly that, something for free. If you ranked high for a number of casino keywords such as, free casinos, free casino and so on then you would struggle to convert, avoid any keyword with the word FREE like the plague.

Being on page 2 and 3 won’t get you very far even for really competitive keywords, you need to be on page 1 to see real volumes of traffic.
