So the SEO theory doesn’t hold.

I mentioned SEO in the same breath as self promotion, I wasnt presenting an optimization theory, but my opinion that the listings were promotionally motivated.

Damian, ecogra claims to represent players not affiliates. Based on that claim they have remarked the 888 issue is an affiliate issue and thats why they have not addressed it. That’s basically why I presented the contradictory connection of ecogra to affiliates and portals.

IMO the 888 issue clearly falls under eCOGRAS standards for responsible operator behavior.

Actually this is not fact and is untrue. Unless you have FACTUAL information which you are privy to, if so please share.

I think that his opinion is based on an confusing eCOGRA website.

The site states “eCOGRA’s constitution is structured such that the non-executive independent directors will always have control over board decisions, thereby guaranteeing eCOGRA’s autonomy from affiliated software providers and operators.”

http://www.ecogra.com/About.aspx?Page=2&OP=P

It then list members as such:

INDEPENDENT DIRECTORS
Michael Hirst
Bill Galston
Frank Catania

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
John Anderson
Roger Raatgever
Karl Magnusson

The ecogra statement should have stated “eCOGRA’s constitution is structured such that the “independent directors” will always … ” but it states non-executive independant directors. Maybe thats the confusion there?
