Nope, it was the politicians who were abducted by far right wing aliens that are trying to ban or restrict online gaming.
Affiliate Managers are subject to abduction by a different set of Aliens. When the abduction takes place the aliens implant a chip on the back of their head and return them to their offices none the wiser.
This chip instructs the manager when to shave affiliates (usually end of the month). It also simultaneously erases all memory of the shaving actions by the control subject.
It’s really quite sinister when you think about it.
