Hold on right there.
I appreciate everyones support, but that is a skewed, untrue statement.
There is a very small… VERY SMALL… segment of the Christian community that has that kind of attitude. Unfortunately, those are the ones getting all the press time.
I am a Christian and go to church each Sunday. I pay tithe to the church from what is paid to me from online gambling. The pastor knows what I do for a living, too.
Level headed modern Christians are nothing like the idiots you see portrayed in movies or the evening news:
1) Gambling is not a sin, as stated by some “right wing” Christian groups. No where is the Bible does it say gambling is a sin. Instead, the Bible makes very reasonable statements warning not to let anything take over your life.
Which is worse: A Friday night poker game for $25? Or skipping church on Sunday morning to play golf for $25? It’s about priorities… most Christians fully see this.
2) I despise seeing “christians” on the news bombing abortion clinics… Those are people who love violence anyway and hide being our religion to do what they would be doing in someone elses name anyway.
3) I hate seeing “christians” protesting with signs that say “God hates Fags” and the sort… God hates NO ONE… God hates Sin, that’s it. If I witnessed a group of thes “christians” beating a homosexual I would stand shoulder to shoulder with that gay man and defend him even to my own death.
4) I wish it was as easy as saying “Christians are responsibe for this” so we could get them out of office, but do you know about Washington State? This law was put forth by a democratic state senator, and voted through alomost without a fight, in one of the most liberal states in the country.
So please, before you lump all people of one religion into one group, go ask 100 muslims if they want to fly planes into buildings and kill thousands of innocent people.
