Maybe – just Maybe

Some people – just don’t know what we are talking about.

And when I say “we” – I mean the nice people who have posted to this thread.

Dictionary.com says:

Referrer

“To assign or attribute to; regard as originated by”

I will contact Jen on Monday. I am an affilaite with Income Access

Voodooman – I know exactly what I mean – and I know exactly what you mean – along with kwblue and Engineer.

You said:

“Although referall IDs are useful, I’d shoot myself if I had to go add one of these to every link on evey page of every one of my sites.”

I know what you mean.

Does everybody else know what Voodooman means.

If you don’t. Just raise your hand and we will answer your question.

Refferal url stats – means – just that.

The URL from where the click originates from.

Say I have a page with a banner on it. It could very simply be:

xhttp://www.youbettowin.com/gaming/category/bingo/

I love to know – when I check my stats – that I can get into detail about where the click came from. I click on the date in the month’s stats and I see – OH

Someone was at my page:
xhttp://www.youbettowin.com/gaming/category/bingo/

And clicked on the banner or text link for CasinoA – and so – oh great.
My advertising strategy has actually worked.

WHY? Because the program that I’m affiliated with was kind enough to provide referral statistics.

Does that make it any clearer.

Someone – please chime in.

“a specific id” does absolutely nothing for me with a Blog or any other form of a site for that matter.

Let’s go back to school folks and understand – just what does a Referrer mean.

Is it possible – that people running affiliate programs – just don’t understand what Referrer Stats mean?

I beg the question?

Have you all noticed – how many companies out there that run affiliate programs have rushed up to the plate and offered to improve the way they treat affiliate webmasters by providing Referrer Stats.

ONE.
