CPA is not our big moneymaker but we do have casinos and poker rooms on CPA.

Here are my thoughts on the CPA on poker rooms.

In most cases it is not a profitible way make money in the long run – but there is some good things about it.

In case the poker room or casino cheat either their affiliates or players You can instantly remove them from the site without loosing money. If you have a strong network of players you do not want to remove (but have to) the poker room or casino, since the existing network will decrease and players will stop playing at that specific site with the result of you loosing a lot of money.

Second.
In these days where rakeback is overfloating the market on the “skin poker rooms” the major affiliates bring in a lot of players and everytime a player becomes very valueble they disappear and sign up under a rakeback site. Conclusion: bring in players, they are offered rakeback in the chat and leave. Result we make 0$ from that day on. We only get to keep the players who really isn’t worth much in $. If the networks did something to stop that trend it would be nice. The only site who has done anything to fight it is Party poker (Respect!!!) The worst cases are with Prima and Crypto.

If we were paid $200 for each player we do not care wheather the poker room keep the players, at least it will be a strugge for the poker room to keep their good players not us! – which is the situation today. We bring in the players but also have to make sure we keep them. This is not the case with casinos where the players are not offered “loss back” by other affiliates.

Ipoker (playtech), Cryptologic, Prima Poker (Microgaming) have so many skins out there some even promote rakeback on the frontpage, how are we to keep the valueble players? Especially the last two networks are killing themselves fighting to give rakeback to the players.

In case you don’t think that a poker room have the skills or the software to keep the players happy – get a CPA deal. In that case you dont bring a lot of players just to make 10$ rake on each of them.

Party Poker,
Poker.com,
Paradise Poker,
Pokerstars,

They do not have skins so we don’t have to worry that the players will switch to other skins for one or another reason. I think that we will se a trend in the future that the big affilaites who spend lots of money on advertisement and employees monthly wages etc. will be promoting sites that do not have a millions of skins and the smaller new sites will promote the skin sites with rakeback deals. Why?

To make it simple. If I have a list of 2 poker rooms. Poker room A offer 25% rakeback, poker room B offer a bonus but 0% rakeback. All the players who plays on a regular basis will chose Poker room A. Poker room B wont make anymore money – so they might aswell be removed from our site or offer rakeback as well.

I am sorry if my post is confusing to read – I haven’t organized it well…

Merry christmas
