I’m pretty much sure that I have been penalised by some SE’s and I was wondering whether it had to do with affiliate links. I’ve created a tracking page that would then redirect to the appropriate casino eg track.asp?c=casino…

However is that enough for the SE’s? How long could i expect to have any penalty lifted?

Hi, i had a quick look at those two sites in your profile and i can’t see any sign of a penalty in google, msn or yahoo. A good program i use that hides your affiliate links is called Fast Click http://www.ftrain.siteburg.com/

Yahoo and Msn have algos which can detect affiliate links, with msn the ban is automated and if you have lots of affiliate links on your homepage then there’s a chance you will get banned, but the good news with Msn is once your hide your links you get back in straight away within a few days, with yahoo well youv’e got more chance of winning a big prize than getting a gambling portal back in.

Thanks for that. I thought i had been penalised but today i did some reading and read that if i had a penalty, yahoo deindexes all your pages except for the homepage

Yes thats correct, they delist all your subpages and instead you’ll get a list of sites linking to you under your homepage, with msn they delist your homepage if its a affiliate link penalty but all your subpages are still there.
